This policy explains what Argsmind collects, why, who else processes it, and how to request deletion of your account. It covers the Argsmind mobile app and its backend services.
The Short Version
Argsmind stores your account information, learning progress, uploaded study materials, and conversations with the tutor to provide personalized daily AI courses. Your course topics and file text are processed via Microsoft Azure AI Foundry to generate lessons. We do not sell your data, we display zero advertisements, and we run no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs of any kind in the app.
What We Collect
- Account Details: Your email address, hashed password (processed securely by Supabase Authentication and never visible to us), username, and display name.
- Profile & Avatars: Profile picture (set using your device's system photo picker; permission string: "Argy uses your photos so you can set your profile picture."), timezone (for reminder scheduling), streak count, XP, energy balance, and subscription status flags.
- Learning Activity: Courses created, topic descriptions, exercise answers, test scores, lesson completion records, review schedules, and active days.
- Tutor Conversations: Transcripts of your interactions with the Argy AI tutor so conversations persist across sessions.
- Uploaded Files & Text: Files you attach to courses (.txt, .md up to 200 KB; .pdf, .pptx, .ppt, .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .webp up to 10 MB) and text extracted from them.
- Image OCR Text: Uploaded photos, screenshots, or handwritten notes are run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR). The extracted text is saved and used as source material for course creation.
- Voice Input: Audio recorded when tapping the microphone is sent for instant transcription. Voice audio is never stored on our servers or by third-party processors. Only the resulting transcribed text is saved as part of your conversation.
- Crash Reports (Optional): If enabled, error diagnostic info (device model, OS version, app version, stack trace) is sent to Sentry with personal data scrubbed.
What We Do Not Collect
No advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID), no location data, and no contact list access. No third-party tracking or behavioral analytics SDKs are installed.
Public Diagram Storage Notice
Public Storage Notice: Visual diagrams generated for your lessons are rendered from course topics and saved in a public storage bucket. Anyone holding the direct object URL can fetch the diagram image without logging in. Directory enumeration of this bucket is locked down.

Account Deletion & Data Rights
You have the right to access, export, or delete your personal data at any time.
- In-App Deletion: Go to More → Account Settings → Delete Account inside Argsmind.
- Web Account Deletion: You can request account deletion on our web page without installing the app at argsmind.com/delete-account.html or by emailing matthewphilkan@gmail.com. Requests are processed within 30 days.
Account deletion permanently removes your profile, progress, courses, tutor conversations, and uploaded files. Encrypted database backups rotate out completely within 30 days.
